Hey Guys! I was wanting an app that would give me complete visibility and show me exactly what was going on with my data on the drives in real-time, especially when the hard drive light was going crazy. So I created a small app and kept adding features, and ended up building basically a lightweight, streamlined EDR for consumers and SMB’s, with a focus on ransomware. So now we have RansomGuard EDR, which is a portable, self-contained .NET 8.0 app with all of the dependencies bundled in...

Hello, I am wondering if a cloud reset does remove the leftovers of software especially security products. Also does cloud reset change device ID in Windows? I am currently using Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC and I am afraid that a clean install will remove the activation and I won't be able to reactivate Windows. I have tried Cloud reset before, but as far as I rememeber that did not remove device drivers, so the same goes to everything else?
I’m looking to dig into Deep Web directories like the Hidden Wiki, mostly just to see how they’re put together. I’m not planning to download anything or sign up for anything—I just want to browse and learn, and I want to stay as safe as possible while I do it. What I really need is practical advice to help avoid getting deanonymized, picking up malware, or falling for phishing scams. Here’s my setup: I’m running the latest Tor Browser on Windows 10 inside a virtual machine. I don’t log into...

Panda Security (now under WatchGuard since 2021), the Bilbao-based cloud antivirus pioneer from 1990, is still touting its "adaptive defense" AI for zero-day threats in 2025. With a solid free tier and premium Dome plans starting at €19.99/year, it's budget-friendly for home users – but recent labs flag high false positives and inconsistent ransomware handling. Is Panda's lightweight, cloud-heavy approach a win for low-spec PCs, or does it lag behind Defender's free perfection and Norton's...
ZoneAlarm, the OG firewall champ from Check Point that's been guarding PCs since the dial-up era, is still pushing its no-frills antivirus + firewall combo in 2025. With a free tier that's basically just AV + basic firewall, and premium plans starting at $24.95/year, it's affordable – but labs show middling detection and sluggish scans. Is it a lightweight legacy pick for firewall fans, or has it been outpaced by Defender's free perfection and Norton's all-in-one suites? Link: ZoneAlarm |...
