Hallo good people and Happy New year!
I randomly scan my PC once a month or so with NPE and KVRT.
Today NPE shows me 26 "false positives" including itself! o_O (I hope its false positives! :LOL: )
Several Microsoft .exe files including winlogon.exe!
KVRT and Windows defender shows the system is clean.
Just want to check if anyone else is experiencing this issue with the latest version of NPE?
First time in years I seen so many false positive from NPE on my system.

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a used computer from my friend and want to make sure it's completely clean and free from any infections or malicious software. I did a clean installation of Windows and is using Hard_Configurator but I'm quite paranoid about any potential hidden threats that was missed.
I used the diskpart > clean all command to wipe my SSD during the reinstallation, and I'm curious if that was enough to ensure all data has been removed and any potential threats eliminated...
As the new year approaches, tech enthusiasts will be reviewing their installed applications, identifying those they consider essential on their systems, as well as those they no longer need, either because built-in Windows programs are sufficient or for other reasons. So, if you're one of these users, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the following points:
What essential programs do you still install?
What programs did you previously use but no longer use?

It was nice to see F-Secure support go the extra mile in helping with this issue. I know Bitdefender is also willing to do remote sessions when needed.
Is it still common practice, or at least an option for some of the other vendors, too? And I'm mainly thinking in regards to home user product support.
This is just a personal opinion, but I would be concerned about installing some of the software listed in the giveaways thread. There are a lot of obscure software brands, plus others which do not necessarily have the best reputation (IObit for example). Do any of these products pose security risks?
I wonder what others think about this?
If you had to set up a non-technical relative today (new laptop or phone, fresh install, you get one afternoon to do it), would you pay for a full security suite, or would you stick with built-in protections plus a short “house rules” list?

Now let's say im installing Firefox. The setup requires admin privileges which I grant. Now at the end of installation there should be a check box to run Firefox after installation complete. Now since the setup file was granted admin privileges, does that pass admin privileges to Firefox when the installer runs it?

Hii guys, I hope you are doing well, actually my girlfriend’s account got hacked one hour ago. She mistakenly gave the verification code access to a malicious bot and her account immediately got logged out. And when we try to login back from the phone number verification, the code is not coming. Hacker is sending inappropriate and scam messages to her contact. We have also reached out to the telegram hack support team, but got no relief till now. Please help me with this.
