This is really weird. I got an email from Google that states: Your Google Account is being deleted. But the account is (I am making the name up) abc123@yahoo.com. Yes, it is a Yahoo account that I do have but use. What is this all about? Google canceling a Yahoo account of mine, and one that I use??? Thanks, Acadia
As the sole user of my device, what are the advantages of using a standard account instead of an administrator account? I mean, when I receive a notification requiring administrator privileges, I can enter the administrator password on the standard account just like accepting the UAC prompt with an administrator account. Are there any other differences?

For years, Mac users believed they were relatively safe compared to Windows. The marketing pitch was simple: “Macs don’t get viruses.” But in 2025, that is no longer true—and the latest discovery proves it. This flaw bypassed Microsoft’s April patch, meaning...

Hi, I am getting a blank panel when I click Settings > System > Display. Nothing shows up. I have removed all security but that panel stays blank. I found some sfc corruption yesterday and did a 'dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth' then a 'sfc /scannow' and the checks were then fine. But the Display panel refuses to show up. Any thoughts ?

The open-source app store F-Droid has issued a warning that Google’s recently announced mandatory developer registration — requiring government ID, fees, and binding application identifiers — could effectively end independent app distribution outside Google Play. F-Droid stresses that this move is not about security but about consolidating corporate control over the Android ecosystem. They are calling on developers, users, and digital freedom advocates to take action by writing to lawmakers...
Starting in November MS will capture your Linked In data to train their AI. It's Opt-Out, so I guess if you have a Linked In account you might be able to access some setting buried in a menu somewhere and stop the data harvest. I think this is a terrible thing to do with the job market the way it is now, so many people have lost a job and are looking for work and MS just has to capitalize on it. As if people who are desperately searching for a job don't have enough problems already. Here is...
