I came across something very weird at one of my Asus Routers. I have been running Merlin Firmware (not the latest, but only few months old); so yesterday I've tried logging into the router but it would not accept my username or password. It kepts saying wrong credentials. Thus, I performed factory reset both via RESET PIN and via WPS button. After the reset I have added new username and password; however, after the router reboot I was once again faced with wrong username and password. I...

This “pshing40b Outlook” message has popped up on my Android Moto 15. Should I be worried? Is it serious? What should I do to get rid of it if that’s the case?

Powershell also has commands to access the firewall to turn rules off. So an attacker or malware can simply reconfigure your firewall to allow it to reach it's command & control server. There are also API commands to schedule a recurring...
Thread 'You’re invited. Windows Insiders meetups are back'
Hi Insiders, It’s Marcus. I lead Design and Research across Windows & Devices, everything from Windows and Windows Cloud to user experience research, and the industrial design behind Surface and Xbox. What I love most about this role is the end‑to‑end perspective it gives me. I get to see Windows as a complete experience, from the software and shell to the hardware, and ultimately to how it shows up in your lives and how it makes you feel. That’s exactly why I was excited to take on an...
There's an interesting debate I'd like to chat with you guys. I’ve been watching a lot of antivirus tests on YouTube lately, and I think there’s a fundamental problem with how these products are being evaluated. Many videos show solutions like Microsoft Defender, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, or ESET NOD32 being tested by dumping hundreds of malware samples onto a system in a very short period of time. That approach completely ignores how modern protection stacks are actually designed to work...
@Jack As we are at the beginning stages of AI taking over junior jobs, I think we should not feed the AI with our collective knowledge. Or else we and our children will be working the government run mines for the rest of their lives. Large corporations like Oracle has already begun laying off workers in favor of AI, and others will follow suite - every company needs to lower operating costs. Canada has started a vaguely defined Build Strong initiative to counter this unemployment problem...
