Hi
We just tried this website on windows chrome and firefox and to be clear for other readers you do not get cookie prompt. We dont have an android phone but I would be surprised if it behaved differently. Are you sure you installed it properly?
For your sake I reinstall SmartAdblock on my android phone for FF and it still did not block the cookie pop up on the link I have given

Screen capture - 7aed6fe0f9863869d412c611b6ca4dd8 - Gyazo

Screen capture - 6110c8ea51096916ab001e86da1063fa - Gyazo

both Gyazo links are safe, and contains no MATURE content
First is smartadblock redirecting me to livehotty.url
Second is ublock origin doing the job well

Ublock origin doesnt redirect you to sites you dont want to visit
Smartadblock redirects you to sites you dont want to visit
Pornsites are probably most simple way to get pup/pua infection and malware in worst cases
Im okay with the site specific ads, but not 3rd party scripts / ads

Im fine if Smartadblock is showing site specific ads by default, but you guys need to add settings to configure script blocking or atleast let us add filterlists
Ok thank you for pointing this out. We have added a fix it will be in the v1.0.8 awaiting code review from chrome team. We would be pleased if you kept using it, if you report bugs on r/smartadblock we ll fix them. We released the first Version 2 months ago so of course we are not perfect yet there might be some adjustments coming.
Regarding the lack of custom filters: it will be shipped in a new version in a few weeks but fondamentally we think that a very small percentage of users actually change their filters and we want to democratize a Good adblocker that works out of the box. Thanks for taking the time to do the screenshots.

Well we will try to look into it but of course we developed this for desktop firefox where it works well, mozilla should be ensuring that extensions can work properly on the mobile version. Looking at our mozilla listing we do not claim that it works with android we have only ticked desktop firefox. Sorry for that.

OK, I know the free internet model is based on targeted advertising and the big data collection of consumer behavior needed for profiling interest based advertising, but . . . after two days enjoying ad-free video's and suppressed cookie prompts my wife asked me to have a look at a few websites for the holiday she is planning for this year.

I did not realize how irritating cookie wall's and video advertising are. When she showed me a few video's and for each we had to wait 20 secs on advertising (unable to skip), I realized the benefits of SmartAdblocker. It is the same as with TV, when you start to look on-demand without advertisements, you stop watching streaming TV.

Every adblocker provides an ad-free browsing experience, some also have the ability to block javascript pop-ups and suppress cookie wall's, some even block video's in youtube, but the benefit of Smart Adblocker to me is that it is an all-in-one blocker and that it blocks in-video advertisements on all (well at least the ones I visit) websites.

I would have donated them a cup of coffee and I promise to buy them two, when Google keeps allowing them the next six weeks (because Smart Adblocker disrupts Google's and Facebook advertising business model) (y)

But don't you not specifically block cookie prompts?
(y) Yes I did/do block them with AdGuard, but now it is done automatically with SmartAdBlocker (on my old Linux laptop).

I still have AdGuard on my Windows 10 Pro desktop which I use for business mostly. I have installed AdGuard Beta which now als has user lists and includes the functionality of new stealth mode (which is also improved version of stealth mode extension of AdGuard). So still do on Windows 10 Desktop.

@smartadblock
why chrome extension not updated?
firefox- 1.0.8
chrome- 1.0.6
&
why it is necessary ?
https://www.trafiklite.com/smartadblock/filters/sabfilter_trans.txt
We are at the v1.0.8 at the moment (with a fix for popup&switch in adult websites). Firefox is just faster than chrome at the moment at validating our updates, chrome took 10 days to validate the v1.0.7 and does not allow us to skip a version if the process takes too long. We talked with them today about that we will see if they can validate the v1.0.8 faster.
The sab_trans file (Or transitional) will help us do quick filter updates on a small file and we will move them to the sabfilters file every night.
