Operating System
Windows 8
Infection date and initial symptoms
I believe initially infected two weeks ago, as Chrome started redirecting me to a russian site, which my brother had torrented a russian "cracked" game onto the computer a few weeks beforehand.
Current issues and symptoms
Only symptom at the moment is when I am browsing on webpages, any area that I click with my mouse(either image, hyperlink, or just the text itself) will redirect first to an IP address or another webpage , which then redirects me to a site in Russian site, called "quantum-computer.org",
Steps taken in order to remove the infection
So far, I've done Malware-Bytes, Zemana, Avast, and Hitman Pro, none of which had fixed the infection (I had followed this guide written by this site: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-quantumsystem-org).
System logs
Yes, I've uploaded the FRST.txt logs
Yes, I've uploaded both FRST.txt and Addition.txt logs

This adware appears to hijacks and injects a code onto a browser tab on chrome, creating a popup when you click anywhere on the webpage which redirects to either an IP address, or an HTML link (lang.gz, utarget.ru), which redirects me to a site completely in Russian (quantum-computer.org).

So far, I have done scans with Zemana, Malwarebytes, and Hitman Pro, all which had found something, but was unrelated to the adware itself as the symptoms persisted even after deleting and restarting the computer. Along with this, I attempted scanning using Hitman Pro in Safe mode, but the computer refuses to boot up into safe mode with networking, instead booting into just regular safe mode.

I've attached the FRST and Addition log files. Please let me know if there is any other logs that I may provide.

Thank you in advance!

This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine.

    icon and select
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.
Please attach it to your reply.
