Did a fast comparison between AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes Windows in terms of PUP detection and the result that Adw is more aggressive and does detect more PUPs.

For example, AdwCleaner detected Acer Quick Access programme as an adware, while MB did not flag that, so even those who are using MB as their realtime or even as a second-opinion scanner still need AdwCleaner.

We are happy to finally release AdwCleaner 8.5.0 (beta)! It's a major release, due to many internal component updates, build process improvement and team changes (Thank you Gheorghe, and welcome Richard!).

We moved from Qt5 to the Qt6.x branch to power the GUI which includes many internal component updates and performance improvements.

Due to the many internal changes, this new version is current in beta only. To help testing, you can switch your release channel using the dedicated dropdown in the Settings to `Beta` (or using the CLI argument) and report any issues you may be facing here. If everything goes well, we aim to move this to stable within a few days so we're counting on your feedback!

Yes, same here, it seems like cmd processes screen...

This release contains major hidden improvements with the way we deal with json data (which we use extensively internally), which leads to more stability and performance.

We've also fixed a security issue, CVE ID is in the changelog below.
