Battle Android antivirus - AVL vs Tencent

I bought Xiaomi phone. The MIUI offers integrated antivirus and you can choose between database of Avast, AVL and Tencent. I'm already using Avast Mobile Security. So it's better to use AVL, or Tencent database?

Are you allowed to use more than one engine?

Generally speaking, there isn't really a "AVL" or "Tencent" answer in regards to which one will 100% be "better". Different databases from different vendors with different employees and intelligence will trigger different results. One vendor may have a signature in their database that another vendor will not have in theirs and vice-versa; some vendors have good days when other vendors have bad days and vice-versa.

Ask yourself, do you trust Tencent more than AVL or the other way around?

You should choose the one you'd rather rely on more (trust).

Avast's android AV is more than sufficient tbh

Avast have features like Anti-Theft if it is of interest to you as well.

I'd go for Avast too but keep in mind that security apps cannot protect you from lack of common sense.
