Question Anyone ever had comodo use 13GB of memory?

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.

Today I noticed my 48gb of ram had high usage when I had nothing running and saw it was comodo. I do leave codex running all day performing tasks. I had codex investigate and it seems to think its the script analysis. I didn't see any way to whitelist codex from the script analysis. Python.exe and powershell.exe were already turned off from script analysis. Only rebooting the pc gets comodo to release all that memory. At this point I'm about to just disable this feature or move to another firewall solution.

COMODO cmdagent.exe is still sitting around 30 GB private memory / 13 GB working set.

Something ain't right.
That's too much of RAM.
Never seen something like yours.

I mainly like its auto sandbox tech. I do know that comodo is barely maintained. If it wasn't for the sandbox feature I would have dropped this app long ago. I'm thinking of removing comodo and trying minimal firewall.

Is the sandbox reliable? Is there a way to assess its effectiveness. Don't get me wrong, but it seems that Comodo users are clinging to the past. I believe it is a dead product.

Bitdefender using much ram is a good thing. Other vendors mask ram usage btw.

Edit:

Used BD on many devices and it never consumed more than 600 Mb of ram. Any browser consumes trible that amount of ram.

The problem is when the security product slows down tasks such as copying files, installing applications, or slows down the start of apps.

Signatures still are updated, shares same signatures with Xcitium. No news on the upcoming version they're apparently working on but still reliable at blocking/sandboxiing unknown files as CruelSister has demonstrated. There are some good default deny products out there. I really like Cyberlock or hardening products like Andy's and I've used all of them. Anyway, we wait and see what comes of Comodo. if your experiencing lots of ram usage, my guess is your running osmething that needs adding to shellcode exclusions.

I already had Codex excluded in the exclusion section in advance protection. Exclusion or not no software should balloon that big. That to me is a bug. Another thing if comodo had a problem with a software it never complained about it. There was no hits in the block applications or contained apps.
