when it update? it take 12 minutes for daily update and while updating you cant use the pc.
it does have a great web filter

Yeah, the resource usage and efficiency of background tasks are just as important as the performance of the RT filter.

The webfilter is indeed very good. It might even preclude the need for having the RT engine on.

I once praised FortiClient for shutting down its file monitor process when you turn off RT protection. But then I noticed the VPN and etc stuff are running despite not being used for home settings. So efficiency-wise, meh.

I personally didn't experience too much of a slowdown when I used it, in terms of internet speed. But I did notice an increase in processor usage, especially when making many connections, like opening lots of tabs at once.

What kind of hardware does your system run on?

What's wrong with Windows Defender?

Agree totally with this, Windows Defender + Malwarebytes / HitmanPro + Common sense = Good health for the PC and run smooth :D

Why don't you stay with what you've got?
Just set UAC to max, add EMET or HMP.A and use Common Sense IS 2015 :)

Thank you for your reply

This system isn't used only by me and I can't control what my whole family downloads and runs on the system and it's not that it gets infected often by any nasty virus it just gets a lot of PUP-s so I have found ESET to be the best choice for that and it's not very heavy on my system either
Thank you again :D

I still think that you don't need any 3rd party AV solution.
If it is shared machine then you should consider LUA ;)
