  • According to Macworld, iOS 27 beta 5 contains hidden code revealing six unreleased iPhone models, including the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Air 2, and a foldable iPhone Ultra.
  • The leaked details suggest Apple may prioritize premium devices this fall, while standard iPhone 18 models and the budget iPhone 18e could be delayed until 2027.

Assessment

This should be treated as an unconfirmed roadmap report, not an official confirmation from Apple. Hidden identifiers in an iOS beta may indicate that Apple is testing or preparing support for particular hardware, but they do not prove that every referenced model will launch, use those names, or follow the reported schedule.

The claims about the iPhone 18 Pro, a second-generation iPhone Air, a foldable iPhone Ultra, and delayed standard models remain speculative unless Apple formally announces them. Internal software code can also contain placeholder identifiers, compatibility references, or development projects that are later cancelled or postponed.

The reported 2027 timing is therefore best described as an analyst or media interpretation of the beta evidence. Apple’s final product lineup and release dates can change before public announcements.

Bottom line

The Macworld article may provide interesting evidence of Apple’s development plans, but it does not independently confirm six upcoming iPhone models or their launch schedule. Treat the information as a leak until Apple publishes official details.

I'm still using the iPhone 13, still runs well & after years battery still at 89% :)
Good for you. I enjoyed my iPhone 13 mini and it was the last iPhone to use. Now I'm in Honor Ecosystem and I am very satisfied. I am using the Honor 400 Pro and Honor Pad 10 Pappermatte.

In my opinion, iPhone 13 line was the best Apple has ever made.
