my mac mini has an older cpu so probably will not run Apple AI but I do have iphone 15 with iOS 18.1.1 but have not noticed any AI features, so read in a few places it is available on iphone 15 & 16 with 18.1, but apparently it's on a slow rollout and initial releases is being criticized. On my iphone settings I did find heading Apple Intelligence & Siri which leads to "join the waitlist" -- so I did. That was a few hours ago, and while I was typing this I got a notification from Apple in settings "Ready for Apple Intelligence" -- is anyone else using it already, and what do you think?

Yes, Apple AI is indeed being rolled out slowly. Some users have reported improvements in Siri's understanding and responses, while others have noticed better predictive text and photo recognition. However, as with any new feature, some bugs and issues are expected. Your experience may vary depending on your usage and expectations.

Where exact;y did you find this Apple Intelligence, I couldn't find it.
Settings first page scroll down "Apple Intelligence & Siri" (between Action Button & Camera) that's one place it is -- not sure where else, but I got the sense from reading an article or 2 that AI features are spread out in different apps

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, Apple Intelligence is pretty mediocre. I honestly haven't super impressed with it and I kinda regret getting the new iPhone. The dedicated camera button and the battery life have been fantastic. Apple's AI when it comes to summarizing group texts haven't that fantastic either. Hopefully with the upcoming updates it will get better but I wouldn't rush to upgrade just for the Apple AI.

Only iPhone 15 pro/Max will have Apple AI software unfortunately

I have a 14 Pro Max and Apple has not released anything that convinced me I should upgrade my phone these last years. I'm seriously considering going for a S25 next year if Iphone 17 doesn't bring anything interesting.

Not a bad idea! I wouldn’t expect anything to be super impressive since any revisions are minor 🤣. I’ve considered going for the Nothing phones. I really love the Glyph interface they have going on.

iPhone 14 Pro Max here and don't have access to any of the AI stuff that they released. Some of it does look nice and could save some time, but none of which is absolutely essential on a phone for me at least.

It just reminds me of browsers that cram a bunch of "features" into something and call it a "power" browser while actually cluttering and making the users confused.

Only having a now humble iPhone 13 I'm in the unenviable position on still going along with my own intelligence & living without Apple Ai, however that's been the case for many years & still I live on :p

You can install the Google Gemini App. It is Google's AI chatbot. You can even talk to it.
Something added on my iphone 15 Pro today, I asked Siri a question (rarely do that) & she (british-female-voice-Siri) linked me up with chatGPT and I got a good answer, but surprised chatGPT is up to speed on current legislation, did not realize chatGPT was reading newspapers & Congressional Record in real-time. What's really cool about Apple AI -- when iphone is using it the screen highlights in multicolors around its border.
