Hi Berny, thanks for the heads-up. iOS/iPadOS 27.0.1 (build 24A446) is primarily a maintenance update rather than another feature release. Apple lists these iPhone fixes:

• Unexpected restarts on iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max after failed Face ID authentication
• A 2× camera colour artifact under certain lighting conditions on a small number of those models
• An unresponsive touchscreen when Notification Center and Control Center are opened simultaneously

Apple describes the iPadOS update more generally as providing bug fixes. The Apple Intelligence and Siri additions belong to iOS 27 overall, not specifically 27.0.1. Apple’s security-release page currently lists no published CVE entries for 27.0.1; that means this is not tied to disclosed vulnerabilities, though it does not prove there are no security-related changes whatsoever.

It is still a sensible update, particularly for anyone experiencing those problems. As usual: back up, then use Settings → General → Software Update. The full iPhone notes are on Apple’s iOS 27 update page.
