And with the Internet active (with the Cloud), MS Defender detects it completely.

Defender has reached such a level where i am not at all amused seeing people reacting on it blocking a zero day. It has time and again proved its effectiveness. What was i more shocked to see was that even Mcafee, Avira and Malwarebytes are able to block this.

Have you tried MBAM, McAfee and Avira?
Do you have the screenshots? :) (I'm interested)

Unfortunately not, i do not record or screenshot my tests. I firmly believe that test results should be kept confidential and be discussed only with AV vendors. Any vulnerabilty like the one observed with Kaspersky needs to be discussed directly with the vendor. If the vendor doesn't respect my opinion, and does whatever he wants to do, and ignores my advice, then they should be criticized on this platform. And obviously if they pay heed then i appreciate their acceptance of critical feedback.

For those who want to check with ZoneAlarm/CheckPoint, I took advantage of it.

Sorry, I had to activate the Internet, otherwise ZoneAlarm would only work halfway. @Dr. Wells

Malware emulation doesn't know about it, so it lets it pass.
I copied images from my PC for this test, and everything was encrypted.
Anti-Ransomware didn't react.

Sorry @Trident :P

Zonealarm is still an infant. It has a long way to go before it becomes a giant in the AV industry and builds its own unique reputation.
