I would prefer if DoT had won out, but apparently DoH is the rising contender. I used to run DoT when I had an ASUS router with Merlin’s firmware. That was fantastic, he does great work.No.
On Android I use DoT (DNS over TLS) and on Windows I use my Unbound local DNS on a raspberry pi.
Btw, don't forget to change the DNS while doing malware test on the hub since Quad9 may block malicious hosts.
Check ping of the dns server address shown here to be sure:I'm using 220.127.116.11 too. It's set up on router, though, without encryption. Router itself is really old, back from 2013, so it doesn't support DNS encryption. I'm instead using DoH via Chrome on PCs, and DoT on mobile devices via AdGuard.
Recently, 18.104.22.168 started to be a lot faster at my place. My ISP finally realized they could direct all Cloudflare traffic trough local internet exchange instead of Austria. Ping to 22.214.171.124 used to be around 10 ms, now it's 1 ms. Here's Google Public DNS for comparison.

DNS Hijacking is becoming a more common and until now there hasn't been a tool to check what server is actually making your DNS requests for your device. What is my DNS? What is my DNS Serverwww.whoismydns.com
How is it possible to have 72ms to OpenDNS in the US?
