I'm honestly not sure if I have a malware virus or a regular virus, but I am constantly getting popups and now itseems that my computer has randomly downloaded several antivirus software programs without my consent or knowledge. This may just be advertising, but it also tries to scan the computer and I am often having to stop scans. It started when I let my boyfriend use my computer to do a movie project and he downloaded some type of dvd ripper. the ripper itself doesn't seem to be messing anything up, but whatever he downloaded with it may be to blame.
