The new UI is definitely an eyesore.
What I meant was the inclusion of some AVG features. Like now having dual scanning engines making it comparable to dual-engine Av/AM like Emsisoft Antimalware, 360 TSE, G Data Antivirus, Trustport Antivirus etcThe OP clearly states this which would indicate changes in the whole product.
+ Huge internal changes for product stabilization
No avast only use only avast new improved engine in next year with some AVG features like Online Shield etc.No dual engine. What I meant was the inclusion of some AVG features. Ransomware protection and exploit protection also come to my mind
Thanks
Is AVG Online Shield better than Avast's Web Shield? If these 2 are the same then no point the duplication, right? No avast only use only avast new improved engine in next year with some AVG features like Online Shield etc.No dual engine.
Ransomware protection:Anti-ransomware in Q1 2017.
Hasn't Avast free had Hips included for a while now?
I don't know much about AVG's Online Shield but if they mix both of them then it would be more powerful. Is AVG Online Shield better than Avast's Web Shield? If these 2 are the same then no point the duplication, right?
What about any exploit protection?
Thannks
Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding my side. What I meant was the inclusion of some AVG features. Like now having dual scanning engines making it comparable to dual-engine Av/AM like Emsisoft Antimalware, 360 TSE, G Data Antivirus, Trustport Antivirus etc

Yeah, it's only the colour I dislike, the layout looks fine but that colour hurts my eyes. Although it is a beta and they may change the colour.New GUI is far more useable and easy to understand, I will very much enjoy this upcoming update.
Not sure about color.
Yes, they have.Hi
Does the new Avast incorporates AI? I think this is the trend to use machine learning to slowly complement/replace traditional AV software.
Thanks
It sure has i see an AVG takeover here.Well the AVG theme has kicked in for sure... Looks like Avast decided to down-grade on the GUI... They had one of the best, now I'm not so sure they are even in top #3 for GUI, but still the protection is decent.
This is the only reason I tried AVG back in the day.Personally, the only feature of AVG that I would like to see in Avast is the IDP module, which seems very effective in the latest version.
Hello @cruelsisterDiscussing the new GUI is like discussing earrings on a pig. At the end of the day it still oinks.
cruelsister too love beautiful things: ransomware, exploit, script malware...aint they prettyHello @cruelsister
But you are really very cruel with aesthetes like me who love beautiful things: cars, motorbikes, musics, art, and of course women (or men).
