AVG for me is still number 1 of dangerous antivirus together with Avast. They ain't even so light enough to beat Heimdal Thor Premium Home which i use. With Thor Premium Home my PC doesn't slow down even due Scanning or playing. Avast was completely created by Swedish cheese. AVG just looks like Avast twin brother. I don't like BD because of so high RAM usage.Yes i have been infected in the past with Panda (4 years ago) haven't used since then
I have installed AVG free _ 3 days now and its much lighter than BD free and even faster web browsing.... its realy a good product that have good results and also tweakable (High settings and Hardened mode) as you know when you have tested Stefanos

If you don't like it, it's different.The protection of thor compared to avg or Avast is much lower.

this is a nice giveaway, i snagged a 2 year avg with tune up (on another giveaway) and have to say it has come a long way since the last time I used it. i think the avast/avg merger is finally starting to work out some of those wrinkles. and they are very generous to offer 1 year free.

I have noticed one thing recently on devices where AVG is installed. When I click the three dots in Chrome, at the end of the menu I see your devices is cntrolled by your organisation. I am sure it is related to either AVG or its extension. Anyone noticed that too?

this is related to the AVG new web shield. they have added something new to the web shield. you can go to AVAST forum and you will know everything about it.

I installed AVG on 4 computers last week , now 6 days and all is fine .... its light at boot and web browsing , i block ads with the firewall so no nags
