You're right, I've noticed that Norton isn't heavy like in the past.
Thats right! Give them a try! I would add that it also depends of your user level: if you are a more advanced user, I'll probably go for ESET: it's more configurable, you can adapt it more for your needs and PC use. If you are a standard user, I'll recommend a "install-and-forget", software, like Norton.

Yes, that's right, I'm installing Eset after trying Norton

can I ask you what do you use?
I'm on typical Default-Deny application. Currently on either Voodooshield/Appguard. I also use Emsisoft because of great pricepoint, performance wise, equally good with competitor. So thats about it.

I'll try Eset again and give you the result.

After trying both of Eset and Norton, it seems that Norton became lighter than Eset.
And I noticed that Eset uses more system resources than Norton.
Norton uses fewer system resources even during the scan.

Honestly for me, it's between Norton and ESET when it comes on light footprint.

Detection wise goes to ESET this time, cause Avira's performance are little inconsistent nowadays especially they rely very much on signatures.

Norton does contain active cloud rates alongside of SONAR which is a good investment on the system.
