hey guys! i kinda searched everywhere i could think of but no luck. is there any way to backup the settings in bitdefender for later use?

I don't think it's possible..I'm surprised the feature is missing.
There's a trick to keep a copy of Firewall rules and restore in a new installation but currently there's no way to save all the settings.
