Normally, I'd say pick any EU company because of strong privacy laws and that's still the case. But I'd personally stay away from Avast as they were fined two times for misuse of user's data.
Avast is clearly not an excellent choice as they have been accused of spying and reselling personal information with their subsidiaries Jumpshot....
Is this controllable from the settings to disable it, or I can't trust Avast at all?Avast the word privacy, I would use Microsoft Defender.
Avast is the worst when it comes to users' data and privacy.
Is this controllable from the settings to disable it, or I can't trust Avast at all?
I didn't know that info, thanks for share it.You can disable telemetry, but you won't be able to use the Cloud...
I would never trust Avast....
I stopped using Avast way before Jumpshot incident. I remember it having an option to disable data collection, but since it's Avast, I doubt it does anything. Is this controllable from the settings to disable it, or I can't trust Avast at all?
