I must admit that a couple times, my system would not boot after a macrium reflect restore job.
however, the macrium boot repair tool, which is part of the recovery media, always saves the day.
It is the best boot repair tool I know.

I use Norton Ghost (hiren boot cd). never had problem with GPT disk. Windows boots all the time
this is only used to backup and restore in your PC
 
I think Macrium Reflect is a solid piece of software. I have used it to recover the system from a hard drive that was nearly completely dead.
