I wonder if they made the switch from C/C++ to Rust with the new drivers.

Do you like that thread I started? gur_helios is always one of the 1st ones to get the new build updates. He's at the beginning of the stagged roll out and faithfully posts when he gets it.

Bitdefender TS for 1 PC for 1Yr 13.00 Dollars...

Not sure how or what I did, but here is what happened ...

I restored my new/clean install (from an image), and created an account with Bitdefender Central.

Then from that account, I chose to "TRY" bitdefender TS for 30 days...

It installed, then did its scan.... Suddenly a graphic window shows up on my desktop in the lower right hand corner.... "Would you like to purchase TS for 13.00 for one year"

It had the renewal option "ON".... I went to (I think it was cleverbridge) and they sent me a login password (good for one hour) I logged in and checked "Do not renew automatically".

yeah, they are still not in their best form in terms of performance and bugs

I have the same problem, it doesn't update.

I have the same problem, it doesn't update.

These updates are released in batches which mean sometimes you get the update within a week, some of them get the update after two days, some have to wait longer.
If you have an older version that is stuck, uninstall it, also by using Bitdefender total security uninstallTool and download latest from BD central with your account.

I tried to do this but the version is the same 27.0.42.214. Maybe we will get it soon.

I had the same issue with their updates some time ago.

I wonder if they made the switch from C/C++ to Rust with the new drivers.

if you are a good coder then C/C++ would be a better choice but with most devs not having the experience , habits required then having forced declaration , memory safety (try to not use unsafe to disable that like most rust devs XD ) would help security a lot for some lost performance (rust is still much faster then almost every high end language except a few like cpp)

best is for them to decide if they need to bloat their binarys for memory safety or are their devs best of industry who can write safe code themselves
btw at least in open source the rust devs ruin software with politcs so unsure if its a good idea to hire many of the rust devs

Sometimes a Bitdefender update will require a reboot, but it won't warn you.
