Briefly explain your current issue(s)
Currently when I goto gmail.. the firefox addon for prevention of connecting to a bad websites says
This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to mail.google.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

mail.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
Steps taken to resolve, but have been unsuccessful
nothing.
Normally it gives you a button to add exception it doesn't allow me..

actually this is a conflict issue...happens sometimes.

here are a few things u could try(one by one) :
- just sync ur sys date/time with an time update server first and then try the google site. (has helped some ppl)
- reinstall firefox, just run the installation over,no need to delete the previous install (this way all ur FF settings will remain)
- try disabling URL advisor
IN KIS, go to settings > protection > web av > adv settings > uncheck 'check URL' in Kaspersky URL advisor. Now check gmail.
mind u, this will devoid u of web protection.

i wud advise to to enable the URL advisor once u have done the above procedure.

Disabling URL Advisor worked.. Does URL advisor do anything important? if so I might switch back to ESET SS

You do not need to download and install the new version.
You just need to is always update and automatically the application will be updated.
