Advice Request Brave doesn't make a good job freezing tabs compare to edge

Hi,

I like Brave, but I keep open a lot of tabs. In this case, Edge does a good job freezing them, Brave does not. Maybe I'll try Vivaldi.

Why can Brave be more brave to freeze tabs?

IDK man. Maybe try using some of Brave flags. From what you are saying, it means that Edge is more aggressive than Brave on the tab suspend function.

It is because brave just implement Google Chrome's memory saver feature, which doesn't determine the period of time for inactive tab to activate it, but Microsoft Edge and Vivaldi Browser both of them have inactive option set to After 1 Hour Idle.

For me, Brave Team has to work on this. How we can tell them?

But Brave Browser main focus on privacy not features, so if tab freezing more important to you the only options will be Microsoft Edge and Vivaldi.

I saw Vivaldi can set one hour or Auto. So only Edge can set some minutes. I've to see waterfox

Waterfox is just a Firefox clone, it will not beat Microsoft Edge in tab sleeping.

Brave works well for me. If it doesn't work, then you can use vivaldi or any other

Yeah, Brave’s tab freezing isn’t as efficient as Edge’s. Edge just handles background tab performance better overall.
