I want to disable "offer to save passwords" but not finding it in settings
Hamburger menu in toolbar > Passwords & autofill > Password manager > Settings > Offer to save passwords and passkeys > Off

This part of Chromium code was changed substantially many versions ago, making it more convoluted. Edge has simplified access in settings.

YES! wow even with your description it took me awhile to find that switch! but I just DISABLED. For me (fwiw) the "hard part" was seeing Password manager settings even when I was on that pw_manager page, ie, I had been on that page before never even noticed it. I guess I was focused on right side of that page, while those settings button is on the left. I had asked chatGPT and I just read the password manager Help(?) link on the Password manager page, and it does not mention it, (or I missed it there too??)
