Hi,

Hoping this thread is in the right place.

The sites and patterns seem random in failure rate and I can't access even innocuous seeming sites such as school related things. I am currently approaching finals week in college and work near full time so am strained for the time or resources to have this fixed by an outside company. Any expediency with your advice or help is greatly appreciated and I will try to keep an eye on this thread. Thank you.

Hello,

FRST.gif
Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

icon_exclaim.gif
This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Sorry I was not able to implement your advice until just now (had to go out of town briefly). Here is the attached log.
I'm assuming your fixlist.txt is machine specific given the warning flags on your post.

Would you be willing to help me fix my other infected device (laptop) as well if I attach the appropriate logs/information?
Are there any other steps you recommend me taking? Or advice to avoid this in the future? I was going to buy the malwarebytes premium version after all this but would gladly take any other suggestions/advice

Initially 3. Phone. Desktop. Laptop.

I think most things are fixed but just want to be sure.
Desktop seems fine now.
Phone unsure about.
Laptop unsure about.

I haven't had too much time to browse and test activity with my desktop since running your fix but it seemed to work, was able to sign into the school work account without redirect errors, hasn't had any further alerts about blocked programs from anti-virus

My laptop it appears to have full functionality but malwarebytes will occasionally pop up with another blocked PUP during just normal browsing/work activity so I fear there must be something left.

Just want to know if there's anything I should/can do to totally clean/restore my system to normal.

Yeah that's what I fear. Do you think I will just have to burn that google account and start from scratch?

Do you have any recommendations for the router? I am currently renting some shoddy apartments geared for students right now that have a router/internet provided. But the router is pretty inaccessible. I was thinking of mentioning it to them soon if it continues to be an issue maybe get a replacement or work order in at least.

I do want to say thank you for your help so far. It's at least got me able to use my desktop here at home which is a big help since it's finals week this week. I have been putting off securing my system and doing more research since moving and am now paying the price.
