My malware issue is small but very annoying and I am desperate to get it off my PC. When I load Chrome, I have 3 tabs on auto-load: gooogle.co.uk facebook.com gmail.com And the google tab then flicks to a weird URL, then to: uk.search.yahoo.com. Even if I type google.co.uk again, when I search, it redirects back to yahoo. I have two Facebook accounts, and Facebook allows me to log into one of the accounts, but for a long time it told me that it had detected malware when trying to log into my other account, and it wouldn't let me on without downloading their partner's antimalware scan. I did, eventually, and it didn't change a thing on my PC, but at least I can log into both Facebook accounts now. After 4 weeks of consistently googling my problem and finding answers that didn't actually help; I followed the "Remove Browser Redirect Virus" blog post on this site. I have used it before on an old PC and it worked! It didn't work today; I still have the redirect onto Yahoo. Other items I have tried: - uninstalling Chrome, but the redirection happened on IE (Win 10 version, whatever that's called now) - Chrome clean up tool - Removing Avast and installing AVG and scanning - Installing Malware Bytes and scanning. Once I had done this, I noticed that the problem disappeared after the first time loading Chrome. So scan, restart, load Chrome, redirect, close Chrome, open Chrome and it's gone. But after another restart or having turned the PC on, it comes back. Thanks for your help!
