Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 PS4 Beta Patch 1.01 Out Now, Gets Changelog

Lots of improvements and new features are live
Barely had the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta been released on the PS4 platform when developer Treyarch released a series of improvements in the form of patch 1.01. According to the changelog, the update has not only the actual in-game store but also a suite of improvements for matchmaking and much more.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set to debut this November, but until then, developer Treyarch and publisher Activision have started rolling out a special multiplayer beta, designed to test out the game's competitive online mode in real-word conditions across the three most important platforms – PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Thanks to Activision's Sony timed exclusivity deal, the beta is already available this week on the PS4 and should arrive on the PC and Xbox One platforms next week.

Patch 1.01 for the Black Ops 3 PS4 beta is now live
The actual multiplayer test version went live earlier today and already a small update, in the form of patch 1.01, is available for download by all those who've been invited into the beta trial.

According to the official changelog, the new update brings some quality-of-life improvements, in the form of an in-game store to easily facilitate access to the game's Season Pass or its Digital Deluxe edition.

The patch also sets the XP progression level caps, not to mention the overtime rules in the case of tie-breakers.

As always, a suite of bug fixes are also present in the update, starting with improved stability when players are in a party or when they enter matchmaking. The team balancing system for multiplayer lobbies is also improved by the patch, while scorestreaks should behave as intended, with fewer problems or glitches.

The actual patch is now live on the PlayStation Network online service and will be downloaded automatically the next time you start your console and are connected to the internet.
