I recently discovered Adwcleaner and Malwarebytes, and ran them on a few computers (one of mine and 2 belonging to friends) that did an amazing job at helping the computers operate efficiently. Recently I tried helping another friend, but after running both programs, the internet keeps having DNS failures on all search engines, even though it says I am connected to the internet. I have tried all DNS repair options I could possibly find, and then realized it my actually have been damage from the previous malware, and found that this is a common issue.

Hoping to get a fixlist.txt file to help me solve this issue! Thank you!

Hello,

Uninstall Search Toolbar

FRST.gif
Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

This fix was created for this user for use on that particular machine.

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

Can you simply reinstall it?
I apologize for not replying sooner. Turned out moments after I repaired the computer and got it to connect to the internet (thanks to your assistance) the internet randomly went out at their apartment, lol. I don't have internet at my place, so I am just now getting the chance to reply to this.

This issue has been solved! Thanks again.
