MT- Don't know if this is your problem, but I've seen this work in the past- someone would try to run a corrupt installation package and it would fail; but the re-installation of a pristine package will also subsequently fail. Seems that VMware was sensitive to things still left on the system from the initial failure, and this stuff needs to be cleaned prior to trying again.

There is a VMware uninstaller that you should attempt which can be found here:

https://2ra5-downloads.phpnuke.org/en/c150126/vmware-install-cleaner

or directly from VMware:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1308

(towards the bottom of the page).

Good luck!

Did Vmware installed successfully? is it working now & why u want to remove VMware services?
btw, go to the registry entry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services" in registry & check for anything related to VMware & delete it.
