I recently posted on here to help my friend restore the ability to connect to the internet after I removed malware from her computer. I am now wondering if the same process can be used to restore the functionality of my laptop's CD drive and its ability to read discs, which I lost after obtaining malware. I've cleaned the lens, the cd drive motor is working, and the driver seems to be up to date.
Regardless, it probably will not hurt to run a Fix on my programs after recently removing malware.
