Coming soon, a new Bitdefender "unified" app

It sounds like the Security Widget is gone (for now), in an apologetic way, for the Windows users?

This also means that the Security Widget offering a device-level protection state only available to Windows devices is no longer enough. Of course, we would love to hear more about what you personally used and appreciated the Widget for, and as you continue using the new app, share more suggestions of what would be important for you to see and use in an accessible way. Any feedback is welcome.

I figure there will be ~3 kinds of users, reactions regarding this new app. And I'm sure there could be #4 and #5 that others may come up with as well.

1) Those who it won't bother to much, who will just put up with (or like) the transition, the new UI, in being Bitdefender fans.
2) Those who will leave out of exasperation.
3) Admins over family and friends installs who will love it for the onboard UI tools of monitoring, and remote management of the installs.

Yes. Family managers and secondary managers can manage family devices and use remote actions from the new Bitdefender App for Windows.
Go to:

Home dashboard
Family tab
Select the family member or device
Open View details or Member details to manage the device

From there, you can view device information and perform available remote actions on connected devices. If you want, I can also walk you through the exact steps for adding or removing family members.

Consultation: I have Norton, but I'm fed up with the technical support, the bugs, and the absurd amount of advertising in the app. I was thinking of switching to Bitdefender, but I'd like to know if the new interface has reduced RAM usage and the number of processes. Could someone with the new version let me know? I only have 8 GB of RAM on my laptop. :(

But even then, I don't want a AV that is becoming its own OS. For what I do and don't do online, that's pretty much it, over, even if it is a more powerful engine. It's a RAM and Processes bonanza 😅 :)

edit: the saving grace may be for the BD Free users, and AV Plus, where it may not be as bad?
