@bazang ,
I hope you dont get tired of testing, demonstrating with facts and showing WHY their argumentations are really contradictory and strawmanlike to the Anticomodo battallion which seems to have only one 1945 tank left for battle by the name of Pico.
Valiant Pico was left alone against a hord of 3-4 truth seekers to perform the Autumn Rites for the Ascent of Deceipt & Slander of The arch enemy of Malware: it was a really daunting task and Pico duly obliged but he was ultimately deserted by his companions in mistake ,unable perhaps to provide any help.
While you ,bazang ,carefully provide facts, Mr.Pico, following in the famous Decopi footsteps, debates a hundred times about the same item, post after post, relentlessly.
Pico & Co. : time to give up by now dont you think so?

I long for the days when people could discuss or argue about software, politics, history, whatever without being accused of spreading 'disinformation.' Nobody is allowed to have an opinion anymore if it conflicts with anybody else.

I use IPv6 though I had to add some ICMP allow rules for it work which I've gone over in previous posts..

I don't know. How do I check? Not that it matters. I'm keeping Comodo firewall regardless.
Easiest way is to type ipconfig in the Command box. If you see "link-Local IPv6 Address" with the first 4 characters something like fe80 and ending with either a 1 or 10 you don't have a searchable ipv6 addy (if it begins with numbers instead of letters it's probably your Refrigerator). Also you could do a scan here: Test your IPv6.

Also, most recent routers gave firmware where blocking random ipv6 packets can be enabled (although blocking these on a non-server is something not to obsess over. Remote Code Execution -RCE's- were another matter but Windows vulnerability was patched in August).

Thanks, Sis. I either have an IPv6 address or I don't. Ipconfig says I do and the test you linked to says I don't. Ipconfig shows the fe80 thing, ending with a5%5.
The linik to the test says I don't have an IPv6 address, so it could be blocked as you mentioned. Either way, I'm running CFW. It works.

You mentioned before that you are part of the world that is not IPv6 compliant so you don't have IPv6.

LOL........ If you say so. I haven't a clue, except there were a lot of numbers, letters, symbols and stuff between that fe80 and the last 5. Honetly, anybody wants to tap this computer will die of boredom. I keep none of my epic novels on it for them to steal (if they're that desperate). I don't keep what I'm working on here. If they want to hijack this thing, have at it.

Hi Chuck! Yeah, Networking tends to leave a bit to be desired sometimes (and if actually understood by Corporations there would be much fewer hacks). But with the fe80 prefix you will not be targeted in any IPv6 attack. Now the reason for you not having the address is probably due to your ISP.

Not that this matters in any way, but if you have the time for some giggles, you can try this to find out:

As google has both an IPv4 and and IPv6 address, first copy and paste this in your browser:

IPv4.google.com

You should be able to get the google page as usual.

Now do the same for: IPv6.google.com

In all probability you will have gotten a "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site" message.

Now try the above 2 things on your cellphone which connects to the Internet in another manner.
Did you notice any difference between the PC and the Cellphone connections?

I'm not very familiar with the technical details of firewalls. There has been a lot of discussion about Comodo Firewall and IPv6 here, but it's still not clear if the "Filter IPv6 traffic" setting works or if it requires additional rules. My ISP offers native IPv6. I use Comodo Firewall with the "Block Incoming Connections" Stealth Ports option. When I enable IPv6 in the Network Adapter and the "Filter IPv6 traffic" setting without additional rules, Comodo logs show similar information as the screenshot in post #490 from @ErzCrz. I also receive IPv6 firewall alerts for unrecognized programs. I'm not sure if Comodo Firewall properly filters IPv6 traffic with or without additional rules, so I have disabled IPv6 in the Network Adapter.
