We are happy to announce that COMODO Internet Security/Antivirus/Firewall 8.4.0.5076 new Hotfix version is Released!!!

While we are getting very very close! to our next generation CIS Version10 Beta release, we also work hard on the feedbacks and the bugs we received from you for the previous version of CIS 8.4. Stay tuned for the upcoming CIS10 Beta release, as it will be done soon !

The main of purpose of this hotfix release is Firefox bug fix.

Existing CIS 6.x, CIS 7x and CIS 8.x users will receive an automatic update offer CIS 8.4.0.5076 Release update !

- Comodo guard32.dll/guard64.dll causing stability issues with Mozilla Firefox 47.0

CIS essentially = CCAV + SecureAPlus

Now for my stupid question ,if I was to use secureaplus ,and go only with the av of cis 8 or just the firewall of cis 8 ? I find ccav sometimes with high cpu resouces.Thks

AV is weakest part of CIS, if you need just AV choose something else.

More advise that fits too is to skip this if your looking to just add a firewall to an already solid config.
Because Comodo Free Firewall is not a traditional Firewall, its a security suite pushed as a firewall.

Not at all, originally , back in the v3 , Comodo was an extremely solid firewall , in fact one of the best, that incorporate an HIPS (as few others like my favorite of all time Online Armor). Then after a massive boost of popularity, some silly pseudo-geeeks fanboys asked for more and more crappy features like an AV, a Sandbox, and now we end up with the useless shopping thingy. Comodo moved from the top notch FW to a crappy suite...

Comodo functions are powerful however the blend sometimes can be overpowered that may reduce to significant ineffective.

Use the product wisely by having proper tweaks.
