That's true, for beginners Containment On Access is best.
The more advanced users might also like to use the on-demand (VM or SBIE) or only that. (I don't use C Containment)

And there is the C pitfall for beginners when answering a Containment Alert popup (when not in Silent mode) the wrong way.

I never get programs that you need a PHD to use it correctly. Not saying Comodo is at that level but it's close.

The problem with HIPS/Virtualization/Containers or whatever technology you want to call it is the flood of prompts for advanced users.

This is the case for firewalls too, in the end the user just clicks OK which defeats the purpose of the tech in the first place.

Once you have answered the prompts in a correct manner and checking the "Remember my answer" checkbox the prompts will stay away for the apps you use daily. New apps require your prompt input ofcourse.

Why bother when you can just use a VM? Don't get me wrong I like Comodo but if your doing anything risky a VM would be my first line of defense.

Anyway as I've said multiple times on here any advanced malware 99% of people wouldn't know, and the other 1% probably designed it .

The problem is the care factor, no one would be targeting Comodo users unless your holding big money, it's such a niche software with low user base.

I agree for anything risky such as malware testing a VM or a dedicated testsystem is best / a must but for normal daily PC work using a VM would be overkill.

I don't know anyone in the enterprise sector who uses Xcitium. No one. Most use CrowdStrike.

I don't have figures at hand about security products market share. Xcitium is obviously earning enough money / making enough profit to pay for both Xcitium software and for free Comodo consumer software development so they either have one billionaire user or two or more users who are somewhat less wealthy.

I did only try to tell that Xcitium has customers (whomever that might be) paying for Xcitium (counterpart of consumer CIS) licenses and support. How many customers? I don't know but I guess enough to make good money out of it to support further software development for Xcitium and just a bit for CIS (which is sad).
