Hi All,

Following is change list on top of previously released v6396.

Fixes:
1.
In website filtering, newly imported lists disappears upon re-boot as reported here.

2.
Right click scan is supposed to check AV updates before scanning files as "Manual Scan" option has related flag enabled in settings.

3.

Even though I am presently bleary eyed and wine-addled, I attempted the update to the new version through the internal updater. After a fast install and reboot all was kinda-sorta as it should be. All of my previous Firewall preclusions were still in place, but I did have to set Auto-Containment back to Restricted (the update seems to set it at the default of Partially Limited which totally blows). But this just takes about 5 seconds to change.

And amazingly enough they listened to me and we can now get rid of stuff that has been taking up space in the Blocked Applications list! Yeah!!!

I'm still in Love...

Woodrow- As I said, I was wine-addled. Perhaps either I or Ophelia (my cat) had set it at PL previously during a test and forgot to reset it.

On the other hand it may be the onset of early senility...

I saw the same PL behavior as you, but I did the update like this:
1 uninstall old Comodo
2 reinstall new Comodo
3 import config and file list
Not sure if what I saw was expected behavior or not.
Also not sure if this is a smart way to do an update.

Shmu- Seriously- I initially tried the internal updater on my production machine first (needless to say I had disk images in place- both a Macrium and a Symantec) and found that it did update marvelously except for the Auto-containment change. What you did (an uninstallation followed by a fresh install) was total wisdom in the past, but seemingly unneeded for this particular build change.

I actually found that this major build update to be far less problematic than those in the past; but please note that I personally don't waste any time or effort on other setting changes that are frequently (and unnecessarily) espoused by others.

T- On the main GUI there is (on the lower left right below the Network Intrusions) a list of the applications that Comodo has blocked in the past. Formerly these just accumulated in place even if they were resolved (or unneeded); now they can be removed with a right click. Not really in any way an issue, but I like to keep things clean.

I had apps shown as running in the container, even though I had erased them. Their presence was confirmed in KillSwitch. Only on reboot did these vanish. Fluke? IDK.

I'm confused at the moment. Been running cf@cs for some months. the about says I'm running 10.0.1.6294. I hit the internal update button and it checks and comes back that it is current. So the internal updater is not working on my older version..6294? So I downloaded and holding 10.0.2.6408 cf installer and checked its hash, and holding status quo for now. Do I uninstall my old version first, or just run the new installer? Sorry in advance if this is an overly obvious question. thanks.

EDIT: I installed 10.0.2.6408 over my previous version, and seems ok. I had to tweak some of CS settings as mentioned above. I was not aware that the updater in my previous version was not working.

Hello! A small test for 11 malicious links from 26.11 (10-blocked by Web protection, 1-download, removes the antivirus)
