Core i9 CPU?

A forum member at AnandTech posted what is purported to be an internal slide outlining a new crop of Core i9 processors. The photo is blurry and low quality, of course, because for whatever reason every leaker in the world seems to own a Fisher Price camera and has an aversion to screenshots. But criticisms over the quality of the leak aside, it looks like Intel is readying a potent lineup.

The number 9 is the magic number here. Intel Core i9, AMD Ryzen 9.

It's the same as the seemingly copying of names between Samsung and Apple in their flagship smartphones (e.g. Samsung Galaxy's S6 and Apple iPhone's 6S). Other brands seem to copy the trending names too.

As long as the new i9 series brings in new good features, then all will be great!

Then the i9 would be the CPU with more than 4 physical cores?

These are the benefits of pure and tough competition !!
If Ryzen had not appeared, intel would not do any more than he has done for years !!

My understanding is like,, AMD for gaming, Intel for deep learning like business calculation task since too much multi threads processing is overspec for pure business use. anyway, tough competition is really welcome, love AMD back to the pitch!.

Yes, it's real. I read somewhere it will have 10 cores with base frequency of 4Ghz and turbo frequency of 4.5Ghz without any overclocking.
