Hi Kardo

I have just done a quick test of v:3.7.0.38 and all is good(y)

Just love the proactive reaction time in detecting malicious downloads before they even hit the system.

Regards Eck:giggle:

Hello,

I am sorry about inactivity.

The new build comes out either this week or next week. Changes mainly occur in the File Handling System.

There are currently some limitations in File Handling System that can lead to certain problems like buffer overflow.
When buffer overflow occurs then some files may not be detected.

This problem occurs mainly when there are too many changes to the File System in a short time.
It is possible to avoid buffer overflow with increased buffer size.

Even if buffer overflow occurs in the next version then the new File Handling System will be launched automatically.

In addition, it is necessary to fix one bug that is related to files with a size of 0 bytes.

Regards,
Kardo

How is the multilanguage Version progress or process

Hi @Mops21

Multilingual feature takes some time because of the following reason:

It should not interfere with further development in terms of code complexity.
... and at the same time, it should be as easy to use as possible for the user.

I hope you understand. :giggle:

Hi Kardo

I`m busy with work and suchlike mundane things and hardly get a chance to visit MT never mind spending my spare time on developing a top notch security app, so no need to be sorry for any late replies.(y)

Just one question am I right in thinking that in steath mode does Crystal Security enforce a strict white list only policy thereby locking down the system ?

In other words is stealth mode the most secure ?

Thanks for your time and efforts

Regards Eck:)

Hi @Behold Eck

Thank you for your support and kind words. :giggle:

Yes. It is default-deny feature to allow only currently installed/downloaded applications.
In other words is stealth mode the most secure ?

Yes. It is mostly recommended for advanced users.

So if put in stealth mode how does that work.Is it easy to disable and enable if installing updates to different programs ? Thks

Hi @blueblackwow65

Thank you for your interest. :giggle:

When you enable Stealth Guard mode then it will build list of currently installed applications and files.
Builded list is called Trusted items list. All files in Trusted Items list are allowed automatically.

When you download new file then it will be blocked automatically.

You can add new file to Trusted Items list by adding file to exclusion or by redbuilding Trusted items list.

When you want to install new application:
  1. Disable Stealth Guard mode
  2. Install new application
  3. Rebuild Trusted Items list
  4. Enable Stealth Guard mode
Regards,
Kardo
