CybeeAI

Cybee AI promises community support for the free (home) users, but there is no community platform. Together with the not working SCAN functionality and inability to connect your free license with their central monitoring tool even when you signin into their website I came to same conclusion for the free Linux version as @Victor M posted for the paid Windows client version: "Well anyway CybeeAI wasnt that good" :ROFLMAO:

I was finally able to sign in and set up my CybeeAI account. Toggled Protection to Balanced.

I upgraded to the latest version.

I did create an account. Installed the package in linux mint. But the service did not run, nor would the program recognize the account. Looked for the community support of the free version, but could not find a forum. :-)

I'll see about testing it before my vacation.

Remember to add all the executables to the Microsoft Defender Exclusion list. The software is flagged as malware because the kernel driver that watches and intercepts zero day events can appear to act like ransomware. Its actually a false positive.

After updating from 6.8 LTS to 6.14 Linux kernel, CybeeAI service is running (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)
Cheered to early. After initial install the AI-agent was running, but had no heartbeat according to Cybee's AI-agent (so protection was not working) de-installed again.

On a side note: the AI-chat annex helpdesk agent is working well. The only thing Cybee-AI agent had in common with our resident @Bot is that they are annoyingly stubborn (keep repeating the same mantra when it obviously is not working).

After a year of being clean (no security software), the CybeeAI temptation was to big and caused a temporary relapse. Monday I will be going to the security-software-rehab center and will enter the circle again stating "hello I am a security software addict, I have been Linux clean for three days ..."
