Hey Guys!

CyberLock 8.0 is coming soon and here is an early beta version. There were massive changes under the hood, mainly streamlining and moving code from the GUI to the service so that CyberLock is more enterprise like. There will probably be a few small bugs, but so far it is running extremely fast and smooth. But if you guys find anything that needs to be fixed, please let me know!

Aesthetically this version looks about the same as before, but that will be changing sometime in the next few months as well. But under the hood, this version has tons of changes. I think you guys will be surprised how smooth this version is running. There were also around 20-30 small bugs / annoyances that were fixed in this version.

CyberLock 7.90
SHA-256: 47f645b979c1b00823af81c97be1d7995bea90ac2e69cea78c2e2087be46bfed

Thank you guys!

Thanks for sharing the beta version of CyberLock 8.0! It's great to hear about the under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes. I'm sure the community will provide valuable feedback. Looking forward to the final release.

Put it on a VMware for testing. Very reminiscent of DefenderUI/Pro.
What doesn't work: activation of the Windows 11 sandbox doesn't work. The program in the settings offers to activate it and reboot the PC. After rebooting, the slider remains inactive and when activating the slider, the program prompts to reboot the PC again. Perhaps it is because the sandbox is not installed in the system.

There are, of course, translation shortcomings and incomplete translation of Ukrainian and Russian languages.

But unlike DefenderUI, the analysis by bases ends successfully and even the "second opinion" indicator opens VirusTotal correctly.

Thank you for letting me know! I do not use VMWare, so I was curious, can you run Windows Sandbox on its own within VMWare? If not, then that is why it is not working. I use Hyper V, and from what I remember, I do not think nested virtualization is allowed in most hypervisors.

If you want to refine the language translations for me, that would be great. It is just an excel spreadsheet with all of the verbiage that can be corrected, then I can just copy and paste it in. If you want to do that please let me know and I will send you the files.

Yes, the cloud analysis should be running really well in CyberLock... I caught a couple of very simple bugs that was causing issues for certain files. Here is the cool thing... once we get CyberLock just right, I will implement the new code into DefenderUI Pro and WDAC Lockdown, and they will be running just as smooth as CyberLock 8.0. I am going to wait about a week or so, just to make sure we get every single last bug and issue resolved, then I am going to update our other apps. Which should only take a day or two at the most.

So if anyone finds any bugs or issues at all, please let me know asap!

I forgot to mention one new feature that is pretty cool for some people, it is almost finished. If a computer or server is setup with an administrator account and other standard user accounts, there will be the full GUI for the administrator, and the standard user will have a super light GUI, and is not able to actually allow new items. Whenever they click allow, it will send a user request to the User Log in CyberLock Settings, and the administrator can review the item, then right click and select Whitelist Item to allow the item.

Then sometime in the near future, there should be an option for either admins or standard users to have a similar super light GUI, that is not unlike most of the next-gen enterprise AV's... I think it is going to be incredibly freaking cool. There are other new features and refinements coming in the next couple of weeks as well. Thank you guys!

For me, the "analyzing" of unknown files doesn't complete with 7.88 or 7.90. I tested with VLC 4.0 Nightlies and noticed if I close the analyzing/alert after some time and execute the program again, CyberLock displays the verdict.
I am not exactly sure what you mean... can you please explain in detail? If there is a bug we will fix it. The cloud WLC and VoodooAi scans should be working pretty well in CyberLock 8.0, but if not, let's fix it now, thank you!

By the way, if you need help in full translation into Ukrainian and Russian, I, as a philologist for these two languages, can help. :) Get in touch if you need help. :)
How funny, I was just typing the above PM and mentioned this. Sure, that would be great, thank you! If you email me at support at cyberlock.global, I can email you the files.

This will be a nightmare for knowledgeable users who normally operate as standard users.

Not at all... you will be able to use whichever GUI you want, and even in the light GUI option, we will make it so that the allow button will work normally if you like (if the admin changes this option). This option is mainly for servers or for parents with kids at home.

We are just adding a super light, modern and sleek GUI for users who do not want or need to adjust any settings. Like me, I never adjust any settings at all.

It's hard to explain, but it will work great for every use case, and is going to be super simple.

A GUI "light" would be nice.

opened VMware win10_vm running msD and DUI (not pro) and still Cyberlock 7.88 in this VM. the CL safe broswer icon (win_sandbox) is not on the VM desktop, so I checked settings | UI Tweaks and Enable Windows Sandbox was OFF (I have it ON my hardware Host), so I enabled it ON in the VM and it required a reboot, and when it rebooted still no CL safe browser icon on the VM desktop. Have not dug too deeply as to why and I must have slipped my mind why I had it checked OFF in VM -- I probably "researched" this before so never enabled it in VM) So now I am turning windows sandbox OFF and rebooting again. (enabling it did not seem to cause any problems) & (I have used Sandboxie Plus in VM without any problems).

I've experienced outages and slow internet speeds from my ISP for the last few days, with no resolution yet. I'm unsure if that's the cause of the problem. I will verify after the ISP fully resolves the issue.

The light GUI would be ideal for parental control on kids' systems. Do you have any screens of the new GUI to share with us?

Can you add a setting to integrate CyberLock with Windows Security? This setting would help users like me, who don't use an antivirus, disable Microsoft Defender. Disabling Microsoft Defender is now impossible through standard methods (Group Policy, Registry), and using external tools is dangerous.
