INTRODUCTION

VoodooSoft, LLC ("VoodooSoft" or "we", "us" "our" or words of similar import) is the owner and operator of (www.VoodooShield.com (the "VS Website"). VoodooShield™ is our patented computer lock software we designed to ensure that you have a virus free experience when you access the Internet.

@Fan-of-spyshelter, The AdGuard MSI installer failed on a fresh Windows 11 installation with no third-party security solutions. I suggest uninstalling CyberLock, installing AdGuard MSI, and confirming if AdGuard MSI installs successfully. I believe the problem is with the AdGuard MSI installer and not CyberLock.

my question asked in a kind way : New Update - CyberLock 8.0 (7 MAY 2025)

that is all ^^

Hey Guys!

Here is the latest version of CyberLock. There were only minor changes and optimizations, and we also updated the code to work better with the updated Web Management Console.

Thank you for letting me know! None of this part of the code changed at all, so I am hoping it was a fluke, but if anyone else experiences this issue, please let me know!

Hi Dan,
I noticed, already in version 8.00, the same in version 8.01, that between enabled startup items there is a reference to the file C:\Program Files\CyberLock\CyberLockClient.exe but this executable is not running. Is this behavior normal ? What is CyberLock Client ?

Thanks in advance

Yes, the CyberLockClient is a new feature added in 8.00. Its main purpose is to give a gui to other users who are logged in to the computer when more than one user is logged in, mainly because CyberLock needs to be a single instance application. So right now CyberLockClient is just a super small gui that only has a user prompt, but we can add features to it as we go, but we need to keep it super light. CyberLockClient will always start on startup for every user, but immediately exit if CyberLock is already running for that user. We are also going to use CyberLockClient to develop a new super slim version of CyberLock Settings, which we will also make available in CyberLock.

So ultimately, the CyberLockClient is mainly for computers that have multiple users and for servers.

PRIVACY --' FINAL 1 of 3.png

I did further research after this screenschot,

and this beneath, need an explanation... (because -> EDPB | European Data Protection Board -> soon)

*) Could you tell me why i have a connection established FROM (Cyberlock and Cyberlockservice) TO (Cloud flare, Google, Akhamai, Microsoft, and another one (! i don't remember !)), without the cloud whitelist activated and still in training mode after my installation ? no need proof right :) ? i mean in this moment...

*) Could you tell me to what third party exactly you transfer our data and what for, can you put it in details in your privacy statement (revised in May 2025 -> you need an exact timestamp) ?

*) Could you tell me why when we close cyberlock.exe, cyberlockservice.exe is still running in background ?

*) Could you tell me when you will proogramming a checkbox, to be legal with the G.P.D.R ?

for ur information if you don't know,

The GDPR provides for the following rights for data subjects, i.e. individuals whose data are processed:

In an attempt to answer some of these questions, I read through cyberlock.tech/privacy page It is, as far as I understand it GDPR compliant and the terms are well described on their privacy page. I think you need to make your own judgement and read the terms. CL protects my machine very well as an additional component to my AV products, It's not exactly fair to demand specific information which I think is clearly defined in the Privacy document which I have linked. You can always disable Whitelist Cloud or restrict product connections with the likes of Windows Firewall Control or your own set of Firewall rules but I think if your concerns are as strong as they come across, you would would probably be better using Linux, VPNs and strict firewall rules.

Anyway, my attempted reply at some of your issues raised below.

It's GDPR Compliant as far as I can tell (I reside in UK)

VoodooShield's Cloud-Based Blacklist Scanning Feature
VoodooShield's cloud-based blacklist scanning feature blocks executable files that are not already whitelisted (allowed) by VoodooShield™. If VoodooShield™ blocks a file, an optional feature is included in VoodooShield™ to automatically upload the file for scanning by 50 of the leading continuously updated blacklist antivirus solutions. In implementing this feature, VoodooShield™ has disabled the uploading of personally-identifiable non-executable files, and only executable files are uploaded for analysis.

P.S. I have a Lifetime Adguard for Windows subscription but I don't generally use it as it slows down things noticeably with my browsing. Anyway, downloaded Adguard for Desktop which downloads as an .exe not an .msi so perhaps your using the silent installer. I don't have a SUA so haven't been able to test it out. Maybe you using a SUA to install Adguard is somehow related to the issue you're having.
1747779606138.png

Anyways, I ran and installed the .exe without issue. I did a Right Click and CyberLock Scan which gives me the option to Allow. So I did a Right Click on CL and selected Disable/Install and then ran the Adguard installer. No issues, installed just fine and runs just fine.

I emailed you some developerlog.log this am, not sure I sent all of it related to my installation balk. Seems minor as both installed ok after I manually closed CL.

Installed without issue, just had to exit running CL first. Thanks for the continued development!
YES, but the installer usually tells you it is closing CL and its service, user says ok CL closes and then new version installs. I have to manually close CL as you did, despite what the CL_installer said.

Please keep in mind, I think you are referring to the build in dialogues of Inno Setup, and it does not close CyberLock or CyberLockService correctly. The ONLY way to perform a manual upgrade of CyberLock (and DefenderUI Pro / WDAC Lockdown) is to exit out of the app first. The automatic upgrade does close CyberLock and CyberLockService correctly, so there is no issue with the automatic upgrade.

ok thanks I'll make a note of that & easy enough to do. :D

Hello,
I've CyberLock in "Always ON" mode and security posture "Aggressive". Cyberlock auto-blocked Microsoft Defender Antivirus update - 4052623 KB (version 4.18.25040.2). I'm pretty sure it's the first time CyberLock autoblocks a Windows Update. After I noticed the autoblocks in CyberLock's user log I set CyberLock to disable / install mode and did manually the Microsoft Defender update in Settings - Windows Update to successfully complete the process.
