Advice Request D-Link DAP-1360 Wireless N Range Extender

I bought this.
I read:How do I configure the Access Point DAP-1360 as a repeater?

But the range extender doesn't discover the wifi of my modem connected to my PC.

It does detect other wifi in other apartment units.
What to do?

I owned the exact same extender, never had the issue that you are experiencing.

If you have followed the setup guide and still not finding any WiFi signals perhaps the extender is faulty.

You can try factory resting the extender or try to see if their is a firmware update before getting it RMA'd

I could figure it out. Thanks. However, it only could detect 2.4G but 5G of my modem's wifi. Both modem and extender are D-link brand.

I don't think that an N router has two frequencies. N is an old protocol. Are you sure it broadcasts at both frequencies?

The DAP 1360 is not a dual band extender. It only supports 2.4GHz
