New Update Defender Hardening Console Executable

Hello,
the latest version works for me but when I run AIDefender.exe, both with admin rights or not, it forces me to temporarily disable Microsoft Defender tamper protection. Does that mean that after I've done the desired changes in AIDefender I can re-enable it ?
Yes, once you apply your configuration, you can re-enable tamper protection.

Also I notice that tamper protection warning blocks the access to Microsoft Defender antivirus section while the other sections (Hardening, Network, Exclusions, AI Advisor) are accessible so I presume that I need to disable Tamper Protection only for changing Microsoft Defender antivirus settings, not the others. Indeed with tamper protection enabled I managed successfully to change a setting in Hardening section.

It guards some of the AV settings and the exclusions.

You will not be able to remove exclusion deemed as suspicious with tamper protection enabled.

Tamper protection does not affect the Helios Scan.

What exactly does it display when it crashes? Which phase is it?
Nothing at all. It just closes without any error. There is no specific state in which it is crashing. On the first scan it was scanning fine for a minute and on the following scans it just crashed after a few seconds

I will send you a PM shortly.

@Trident
Hello,
I built a System map in Deep Firewall Control but it also created blocking rules for legitimate executable files that need to access to Internet (for example Ant Download Manager, Process Lasso updater and a couple of others). That panel would need a filter by name to quickly retrieve the blocking rules that have to be deleted to restore Internet access for those executable files. Maybe could be better to create exclusion rules for those files because I guess that rebuilding the System Map would re-create those blocking rules. What is the criteria by which blocking rules are created?
Moreover the Clear All button doesn't work and what is the function of the refresh button?
Lastly would be possible to add a option to resize Defender Hardening Console window to make it larger ?

Thanks in advance

Blocking rules are created for low quality software with poor reputation generally.

If users need to use such software (like download managers and so on), they can toggle to turn off the rule.
In this case rebuilding the map will not affect the rules.

Anyway, this component is scheduled for a redesign very soon, to be more consistent with the scanning experience.

I apologize, I completely missed the disable button on the right :(
It’s not the most intuitive flow, I will redesign it very soon.

It took a while to choose the scan flow UI as well, it was redesigned at least 5 times.

The previous one was <almost> ok but not entirely.
