Thank you sir
Based on pure numbers, it could be lighter maybe:
280,5 MB of RAM, while using the Cent Browser. The signatures are already up-to-date so I cannot tell how this will increase RAM usage.
Note that 50,4 MB of the RAM usage account to F-Secure VPN service.
However, there is no noticeable performance impact, neither on working or on testing malware nor while surfing with the VPN on (I set it to autostart on every boot, and to be always on, it takes only seconds after login to have the connection to the VPN network ready (location: Falkenstein, Germany, felt no need to change so far).
F-Secure VPN has a very good content filter (phishing, malware pages). It does even work without FS Antivirus Products or the Browsing Protection extension enabled.
So you can pair this VPN with every other product you like (recently extended my sub by one year, just because of the fantastic VPN). I found a eBay reseller of F-Secure offering the Total package (FS SAFE + VPN) for a bit more than 30 British Pounds, which is very reasonable. You get a certificate of authenticity by F-Secure in a seperate mail.
However I found F-Secure SAFE to have stepped up their features and protection level compared to the last time I used it in the HUB. So I chose to reinstall (also, because I'm forced to do online banking).
Thank you
Probably no longer, but the extension "automatically switches thousands of sites from insecure "http" to secure "https"."3
Both Google Chrome and Safari (iOS) warn about unsafe sites (using no https).
