Ok i'll rephrase:
Could you post a screenshot of your task manager showing processes for all users and take it with fences showing in the list of processes, please.

I couldn't find it in task manager but I did find a thread saying it uses 3 mb...the settings window uses around 16K when open.

Cool, thanks a lot. Long time ago I was a user of DesktopX back in the XP days but I stopped using it, despite I was able to achieve my minimalistic style.

Stranger: unless you want to go fully "green" for the environment, 2nd screenshot is way better. However as a suggestion, change the frames colour from that light blue without transparency to a darker blue with transparency on. also top center tab fonts cant be seen in that black colour. Not sure if you can modify the colour

You could also ditch the windows orb and use a minimalistic one like mine for example, although before I swapped to the 4 little squares, I was using Token style squares and the token icons for connection/volume etc. All can be found here http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/windows7/startorbs/?order=9

To add to Biozfear's suggestion, I'd recommend using a custom VS, see:
http://malwaretips.com/Thread-Themes-Uxtheme-Patch-for-Windows-7-SP1

How to change the Orb:

Some other Orb changer programs:

To add further to Earths post, a good place for Custom W7 VS is here: http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/windows7/visualstyle/ Do make sure however you read the comments since sometimes there might be a bug or a feature etc.

Also, some VS will have additional DLL files, which for that you will need to have the Take Ownership feature. <-- that is also required to replace the system icons of connectivity, sound alerts etc that I was using (token icon style)

You could achieve the Take Ownership via reg edit or via some tweaking tools for windows 7.

Also, I am one of the users that uses UxStyle Core style of patching.

@McLovin that is not the door2door version is it?

Ok guys, I need a matte style dark grey VS but sleek. Any recommendations? SlanXP version for W7 is rather buggy and outdated.

but you can use that as a reference point

I just Google'd Windows 7 Orb changer and that was like the second one. From what Earth has said I would go with what he has said.

Yeah because that version you posted I had problems with. The one mostly used is door2door version:)
