I have attached both the initial FRST.txt and Addition.txt files that I ran before running Malwarebytes, ComboFix and RogueKiller.

I also attached another FRST2.txt which I ran just after attempting to fix it by following the steps in the "Remove dllhost.exe *32 COM Surrogate (Removal Guide)" posted on malwaretips.com 's blog.

I also attached the combofixlog.txt and Rkill.txt just in case it helps as well.

Re-run FRST.exe as you did before ...

• Download fixlist.txt that you find attached at the bottom of this post and save it same place you
• Press the Fix button once and wait.
• FRST will process fixlist.txt
• When finished, it will produce a log fixlog.txt and will keep that log in the same folder where FRST.exe is.

> Attach here fixlog.txt logreport.

Everything seems to be working back to normal. If it comes back again I'll be sure to return here.

Should/can I remove all those programs I installed (RogueKiller, combofix, hitmanpro, malwarebytes)?

Is there anything you can recommend I use to clean up any unnecessary files on my computer?

It is necessary to uninstall ComboFix :

• Click Start (or
  
  ) then Run.
  
  
  On Windows7 or Vista you may use Start Search field if Run is not available.
  
• In the line of text type in (Copy) the following:
  
  

  ComboFix /Uninstall

  Note that there is a space between " ComboFix " and " /Uninstall " .
  
• then click OK (or press Enter ).

Wait for the uninstall process is complete.

• The following will implement some post-cleanup procedures:

=> Please download DelFix by Xplode to your Desktop.

Run the tool and check the following boxes below;

Remove disinfection tools

Create registry backup

Purge System Restore
Click Run button and wait a few seconds for the programme completes his work.
At this point all the tools we used here should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:\DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.
