in fact the designation "antimalware" is a thing from the past when "Antiviruses"were just focused on removing viruses & worms while "antimalwares" had a broader range of targets (Trojans, spyware, etc...). Now they are the same.

some companies keep the name "antimalware" but mostly because the product is well known for.

I've used Crystal Security before however seems my needs are sufficient prior my risk level is low.

Do you need a companion program? Well that's depend upon the user, sometimes way to go for having Crystal Security, Voodoshield or SecureAplus as compose of multi engine reference for maximum protection.

But the real thing where the whitelisting technology, HIPS or Anti-exe are the real companion cause users rely too on traditional protection that can be easily bypass.

Which why programs contain user input query as they failed to determine the information and let the person decide it.
