I noticed that some members on MT use a second offline password manager as a backup in case something happen with their primary password manger, or they lose access to their vault, is this necessary?

I know it is personal preferences, but why you use KeePass instead of something like Bitwarden in the first place?I use Keepass and back up the database every time I save a new entry. Paper and pen works too though KeePass is better at generating random numbers/letters/characters. It also has 2-factor OTP included with it though via an addon. KeePassXC is also good and a bit more user friendly allowing it to be unlocked with Windows Pin and built-in 2-factor OTP.
Anyway, whatever method you use, backing up either as @Digmor Crusher has said with paper and pen or a removable drive is key![]()
Bitwarden uses cloud database as well as local and I just prefer a completely offline option for managing passwords. The likes of Lastpass and Bitwarden has been hacked in the past so it's just a personal paranoid preference.I know it is personal preferences, but why you use KeePass instead of something like Bitwarden in the first place?
The main reason for users prefers KeePass or KeePassXC, your database is stored offline as you can setup it in this way...
I use KeePassXC because the UI looks more modern and there is available a own-developed browser extension/addon.

Does OneDrive have an auto backup feature, or you do it manually?I have password backup in,OneDrive saved me when I used a optimiser(clicked a wrong option) and deleted Edge and Chrome saved passwords
The same question about Nord backup, you do it manually?I now have Nord backup, and am happy with it
Me too, I was thinking offline password managers don't have extensions, now I will try KeepassXC.Thank you, I am very much used to Bitwarden, but I am going to try KeepassXC plus extensions out for a while. (Now that it is easy to import from Bitwarden.)

When you go (in my case) to either Chromes password manager or Edges settings has a option to download or import, I downloaded file copied it to WordPad, and on my end there is a option to save to one drive, as far as Nordpassword manager it allows you to import your browser password then ,becomes default
Do you encrypt the file before you save it, or you save in on OneDrive as a text file?NordPass® Password Manager & Digital Vault is controlling this setting (This caption is by Chrome password manager that I see![]()
