I know I have to keep my software up to date, but what about drivers?
Do I need a tool to update drivers?
And what is the best tool?

Yes, keeping drivers updated is important as it ensures your hardware runs at its best. While Windows does automatically update many drivers, a dedicated driver updater tool can provide more comprehensive updates. Tools like Driver Booster, DriverPack Solution, and AVG Driver Updater are popular choices.

It is, I have not seen or noticed anything strange I started using it. It is a windows command.

The only you should know is that if you have a piece of software that is a GoTD, then you might lose it. Those GoTD programs useally do not come with free upgrades, so using that command can make the licence for that GoTD program invalid.

Good to know this info, thanks for sharing.

How would you compare this to IOBit Driver Booster? *If you'd have any experience with it.

I'm sorry but I have no experience with Iobit Driver Booster. I know that many people use it and like it but I can't give you my personal opinion on this software

Not a problem. I actually bought a license for Driver Genius and I actually like the program. It found 3 more driver updates than driver booster. So far so good. I'm quite happy.

I use CCleaner Pro. The driver updater module is quite good. I always review the update before going ahead though.
The most significant concern that I can see with an automatic driver/software update program is the potential for supply chain malware infection, where the original driver or software repository gets infected with a malicious update, and this gets propagated up the chain to the driver/software program

Thanks for the information.
